Tossed Salad Recipe made with Mixed Veggies
plus a delicious Low Calorie Salad Dressing Recipe
❤
* I n g r e d i e n t s *
For the DRESSING:
— 3 Tomatoes
— 1-2 Oranges
— 1 Avocado
— 2 cloves of Garlic
For the SALAD:
— 1 head of Romaine Lettuce
— 2 Red Peppers
— 2-4 Carrots (unpeeled if organic, or peeled if inorganic)
— 1-2 Cucumbers (unpeeled if organic, or peeled if inorganic)
* P r e p a r a t i o n *
— 1) To make the dressing, roughly chop the tomatoes, and toss into your Vita-Mix blender, or other high-powered blender of your choice. http://bit.ly/GZsuq or http://bit.ly/3OTXD9
— 2) Use a manual citrus juicer or a citrus hand juicer to squeeze the juice of the orange into the Vitamix as well.
— 3) Roughly chop the avocado and toss into your Vitamix along with the 2 cloves of garlic, and blend until desired consistency is reached.
— 4) Roughly slice the romaine lettuce leaves into bite-sized pieces and toss into a serving bowl. Or, another method is to tear the leaves by hand into smaller pieces. (OR, you could even serve the leaves whole and intact and serve with the dressing as a dip!)
— 5) Cut the centers out of the red peppers, then slice the red peppers, carrots & cucumbers all into bite-sized chunks, and add to your salad.
— 6) Drizzle dressing over salad or offer it on the side…your lunch or dinner is now served; enjoy!

— I am not anti- superfood or anti- supplement, I just find that I don’t need them that much. I personally prefer the “spacious” foods…fruits and vegetables.
— I feel good on a low fat raw vegan diet! But I don’t prescribe to any diet with any religious fervor…I still listen to my body. For example, in the winter I find that I need more fat to stay warm…e.g., nuts. When you do eat nuts, try to only buy ones that still have the shells on them, so that you eat them more slowly…and hence don’t overeat.
— If you fill yourself up on a nice healthy, delicious, *simple* and filling salad every day, you can’t really go wrong!

This is not Healthy Eating #16. Because I said so, so there!
This video will serve as a single link for Healthy Eating videos from other posters. The idea is to post all of those videos, if there ever are any, as video responses to this one so they are easy for my viewers to find.
I also answered a question from Superbastard, and more fully explained a principle for evaluating diet quality.
Interest in Healthy Eating will probably continue as YouTube expands and more folks drop by. I’m not predicting huge growth. But it’s likely to be an active topic, and there’s no telling what responses might be created, or when.
So if you’d like to keep current on future HE posts, you might want to favorite this video so responses are easy to find.
One more thing. If you’d like to receive bulletins when I send them out, feel free to request an add to my friends’ list. And if you’d like to stop receiving those bulletins, drop me a note and I’ll turn that off for you.
Be well!

Here is another healthy and quick meal. Its high in protein, high in fiber, and has only TWO ingredients so even I can make it. Beans are an excellent source of protein and one of the cheapest. A 30g serving of protein from beans costs 17 cents vs 75 cents for meat or protein powder. The fresh salsa provides a great flavor and some veggies. If you are trying to cut down on the calories to lose fat, beans are great because all the fiber fills you up without many calories. If you are trying to gain muscle beans are great because they are so high in protein. Win Win!
