Best athlete diet – healthy and satisfying

Posted by admin on May 23rd, 2010 and filed under healthy diets | 13 Comments »

Ever since I moved away from my parents 8 years ago, I felt hungry and always wanted to eat candies and cakes. I felt unable to achieve the feeling of fullness that would’ve lasted for more than an hour after I had eaten a bag of chips or a lunch of fries and sausage. I didn’t train cycling before 2005, but after that I tried to become a professional cyclist and started to find food that would help my performance.

I don’t train anymore full-time, because I study, but I’ve invented an amazing diet. It kills all need for candy, cakes, chips, chocolate, ice-cream, donuts, bacon and other unhealthy sources for energy. It is void of fat, sugar, salt or by-products of frying. It contains all the food groups in the pyramid and has many rare beneficial substances. It is quite simply all the human body would ever need and it has so much protein, that you can feel full, light and powerful all the time and without anything else to eat. It suits you weather you’re a weight-dropper or an athlete.

The need for candies and fatty, sugary and salty snacks comes from the lack of protein. It means that your diet doesn’t have all the protein you need and use during the day. This diet and especially the protein bar supplement are fat-free yet full of carbo-hydrates and proteins, which take away the appetite. People fill their homogenous and thin diet with things that cause the feeling of fullness, but accidentally also contain fats, sugars and salt, which harm your body and physical health. There is no need to eat junk food or snacks with this diet, because it has got all the energy you’ll ever need during the day, and in a healthy form.

The feeling of fullness and your health depends on eating all these foods every day. When you feel like you’d like to eat snacks, it is already the supper time! To have this diet, you have to give up your habits and diets for your health and physical performance and be disciplined with no lapses to old habits. Yet the diet makes it easier than usually, with diets that would make you starve to lose weight. This diet doesn’t make you starve, but let’s you eat as much as you can, but healthy foods!

I invented this diet in its present form in July 2008. Then I finally achieved the feeling of fullness and with only healthy foods! I’ve eaten the same foods ever since and I’m training a few hours per week. I read Wikipedia and other website about “superfoods”, rare beneficial substances, healthy eating etc. I tried many combinations, added during several months certain foods and gave up my old fatty foods, like cheese, margarine, bacon, cakes and candy. My last addition was the protein bar, which I needed because I was training 15 hours per week.

Breakfast: Begin with a blood orange or common orange juice, continue with lingonberry porridge, fat-free milk, rye bread, pig liver sausage, banana

Lunch: Begin with fresh broccoli, continue with chicken wings without the skin, heated not fried, no salt, macaroni without salt, a can of tuna fish, ketchup and a banana. Supplement if you’re training with a 50/50 % carbohydrates/proteins protein bar

    Snack: Un-processed walnuts or peanuts

Supper: Begin with a tomato, continue with carrot, rye bread and pig liver sausage, low sugar yogurt with fruits and berries, sugar-free Swiss müesli without processed ingredients, a banana

I spend 220 € per month for daily consumption in Finland.

    The four important “super foods”:

    -Tomato
    -Broccoli
    -Walnut
    -Blood orange

Healthy Food For Your Heart – Video From DFWreporting.com

Heart disease is the number one killer of American women today, said Dallas personal trainer Daniel Crouch. Whenever you feel the need to go ahead and try to change your life this is the best place to start at the grocery store. We decided to come to the grocery store and pick out a few foods that just might help you save your life. Almonds are a great example of a quality nut. They have monounsaturated fat and polyunsaturated fat as well. Theyre excellent. Theyre clean. Youre not going to have to worry about getting a lot of preservatives because these things are natural and organic.

I think a lot of people fail to recognize how inaugural they are in their own health and certain, little choices that they make at the grocery store of all places can have such a profound effect on the way that they feel and the health of their family and the overall well being of their entire lives, said Crouch. Salmon is especially is really good. If you can avoid anything that is farm raised I would recommend it because organic means that it doesnt have any of the pesticides that farm raised does. Apples are great because theyre a great source of pectin. Pectin is in the skin of apples and what it does is it cleans the plaque from your teeth and from your heart as well.

Avocados can get a bad rap because they have fat in them, said Crouch. Thats true but its the good fat. Its monounsaturated fat which is great for your heart. It lowers for LDL which is your lousy cholesterol and it raises for HDL which is your good cholesterol. A lot of people take for granted that their heart is just going to pump forever. Red wine, dark chocolate and a few of the things that you might not think are healthy for you are extremely healthy for you.

Healthy meals for students and other busy people: 6-pack abs and gain muscle with good nutrition

Posted by admin on February 18th, 2010 and filed under healthy meals | 25 Comments »

Good nutrition is the secret to both losing fat and gaining muscle, in this video I show you how to eat 6 inexpensive, nutritious meals a day without cooking or shopping. This video is in response to the hundreds of people who have written me saying they knew their nutrition was horrible but felt powerless to improve it because of the schedule constraints of their work, school, or life. Eating 6 small, well balanced meals a day is easy when you know how and once your nutrition is on track you will find it easy to reduce bodyfat to show those 8-pack abs and gain muscle too.

The one thing you need to do though is get rid of the idea that food always has to be tasty. Jack LaLane had a great saying “If it tastes good, spit it out!” and its so true. If something is that good then its most likely got too much sugar, salt, fat or artificial flavors. When something tastes really, really good your first thought should be – “whats in this?”. Think about what you are eating! If what makes it taste good is the nasty stuff mentioned above then spit it out. Obviously if you are eating a carrot or an apple and it tastes good this doesnt apply. The saying is designed to make you think about everything you eat. If you dont know what is on the list of ingredients and its nutritional content then SPIT IT OUT!

Here are the meals I eat during the video:

5:00am coffee and protein powder mixed in water (about 100 cals)
6:30am oatmeal with flax and protein powder (about 400 cals)
9:30am mixed frozen vegetables with spaghetti sauce and protein powder mixed in water (about 400 cals)
12:00 shredded wheat with nonfat milk, flax, and protein powder (about 400 cals)
2:30pm can of kidney beans and raisins (about 300 cals)
5:00pm dried soybeans and raisins (about 300 cals)
7:30pm mixed frozen vegetables with spaghetti sauce and protein powder mixed in water (about 300 cals)
9:00pm protein powder mixed in water (100 cals)

If you eat too much your kidneys have to work overtime to get rid of it and its not healthy. How much protein consumption is too much? Many bodybuilders consume more than 1g protein per pound of body weight per day without any problems. I keep under that number, I weigh 240 lbs and consume about 200g protein a day.

You will notice that I didnt eat any chicken/meat/fish during the whole day, that is typical for me. I eat meat when I go out to restaurants (about once a week) but not at home. If you want, feel free to use meats for your protein rather than protein powder. You can get dried fish and meat, and you can also get canned salmon/tuna. Both of these are very convenient. If you have time, you can grill up some chicken twice a week and use this as your protein.

Many, many people have asked what protein powder I recommend. I would stick to protein powders that have the words “100% Natural” in the name. The protein powder I use is here:

    http://www.scoobysworkshop.com/proteinpowder.htm

scroll to the bottom of the page.

People seem really confused about three products and its really important you get these straight or you will make some serious dietary mistakes!

Protein Powder – Contents: protein (whey, soy or egg)

Protein Shanks – Contents: protein (whey, soy or egg), sugar, assorted chemicals

Weight Gainer – Contents: protein (whey, soy or egg), sugar, assorted chemicals
