I’m trying to lose weight. I am 5′3 and about 135 lbs i’m also 12 yrs old. I want to try and lose 20-35lbs before september.I need some tips on how to lose weight. Like an exercise plan and some healthy meals. Please help me! Thanks!
I was also looking through other yahoo questions about their weight and one answer had a site. I was this thing that tells you if you’re underwieght and stuff and it said i am at rish of becoming overweight so plz help.
For your height that weight is fine, and anything under 120 for your height is unrealistic and/or unhealthy. Just keep doing exersizes and you’ll be fine. And don’t eat junk food or fast food if you want to keep lookin good
Better yet, stick with making your own meals from scratch that way you know what exactly goes into them and don’t have to worry about Transfats or High Fructose Corn Syrup or Genetically Engineered Foods for that matter if you buy Conventional or/and Organic. Organic and whole foods are the best bet to stay in good health.
Risk of being or becoming over weight… you should talk to your doctor not rely on online weight-o-meters.
They (the doctors) can look at your Body Fat ratio vs. muscles and your regular weight. For one do you wanna be skinny now and not grow an inch later, or do you still want to keep growing? A harsh diet may turn out to stunt your growth at your age, as well as lifting weights irresponsibly. You don’t want to stay 5′3 forever do you? LOL!
Go talk to your doctor, tell your parents to schedule a visit.
My doc told me that for a female who is 5′3 (which I am too btw 5′3 and 1/2) anything that is 160 is boarder line obesity. They said that between 125 and 145 is an ideal weight for my rage of height. 150 isn’t bad per say, you’re just a bit over weight. It’s 160 and up they start to worry. Just like it’s anything under 120 they start to worry. (I asked).
I am boarder line obese. My weight fluxuaites between 155 – 175 I never seem to loose past that nor gain above 175. Either way I usually am always in the 160’s so I’m borderline obese. YOU R NOT OVER WEIGHT … I am

I just don’t try hard enough lol (I like my ice cream)
Illastic – That’s not true!!! I am Vegan, and I can go to Burger King any day (in my area of the USA) and order a Veggie Burger with no Mayo and No Cheese and it’ll still be healthier if I just made my own Veggie Patty from scratch and bought organic whole grain bread from a health food store. Along with organic lettuce.
Just because someone is Vegan or Vegetarian doesn’t mean they are healthy nor does it imply they will be skinny.
I am slightly overweight. Why? B/c I have a sweet tooth!!! I love Rice Dream and Soy Delicious, I can’t go with out my ice cream !!! LOL
Plus, I don’t have enough $$$ or time to make everything vegan from scratch and have it be organic.
So I try to make a few meals, but I will settle for the going-out-to-eat remedy for a on-the-go life (or very hungry NOW NOW NOW tyummy lol)
Take for instance I don’t know how to make Mochi so I buy it pre-made instead which is less healthy.
Plus with anything, one shouldn’t eat too much of one thing. So being vegan and eating Soy all day will take a toll. Some people just can’t give up protein like stuff or taste and again eating nothing but protein all day long even if it’s Soy or Wheat is not good for you (although the Wheat protein is a much better choice).
I am testing a theory that you can feed a family of 4 on $125 a week, so I am looking for healthy cheap meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks.
We have 4 kids (one is a baby, so he doesn’t eat table food yet), and our grocery bill is $125 a week or less. You can save a lot of money by not buying pre-made stuff. I usually don’t buy any mixes (except brownies, cause I like boxed brownies better than mine). I make homemade pancakes and waffles, double the recipe and freeze extras. Same goes for muffins and cookies. We eat a lot of fruits and veggies… if you don’t go to a farmer’s market, and you are serious about eating healthy and saving money, try to find a farmer’s market in your area. We eat a lot of apples, bananas, grapes, and any other fruit that is on sale for snacks. Buy popcorn that you pop yourself for a healthy, cheap snack. As far as healthy, inexpensive meals goes: I make veggie stir fry and rice – chop up any combination of carrots, celery, broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, peppers, onions, stir fry with olive oil and your choice of seasonings. You can do a lot with pasta that is cheap, but pasta does have a lot of carbs. We like veggie spaghetti – stir fry fresh mushrooms and peppers in a little olive oil, add a jar of spaghetti sauce, and serve over spaghetti. Make homemade breadsticks and a salad, and you have a nice meal! We don’t eat much meat, because meat is expensive! Beans are another way to eat cheap, you can get dried beans for not too much and do a lot of different things with them. I buy all groceries at Aldi (discount groceries), farmer’s market, and a few things at Walmart that are cheaper than Aldi. I think the big keys are to stay away from preprocessed stuff, watch prices on stuff – pay attention to how much it is per unit (oz, etc)… it is not always cheaper to buy a bigger size! Also, try to only go to the store once a week! Plan your menu for the week, make a list accordingly, and only buy what you have on your list unless you see a great deal on something you know you will use. That is a big key! It’s easy to overspend when you go into the store 3 times a week! Another thing, don’t go shopping when you are hungry – it’s easy to pick up extra stuff when everything you see looks good! I hope this helps!
A healthy glycemic meal can be made using ground turkey, which is packed with protein but very low in fat. Mix lean ground turkey with rice, vegetables and legumes with information from a health and wellness consultant in this free video on a healthy diet.

I’m trying to lose weight, but I can’t stand for eating a salad for every lunch and dinner, and oatmeal and fruit for every breakfast. What are some healthy and good tasting meals I can eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? I need a good variety.
try peanut butter sandwich with light wheat bread
cut up fruit and add splenda to them for a lil extra flavor
baked chicken with asparagus
salmon with zuccini
I exercise 4 day s a week for 4 hours and it makes me really hungry when I get home. I need to eat a lot of protein and healthy food.
What are some good balanced meals that I can eat. And what are some snacks that are healthy for you?
Is peanut butter healthy?
peanut butter is healthy yes it has a lot of fat but, it is the good fat. spread some peanut butter in an apple quarter and yum.
Also beef jerky is good along with string cheese.
Hummus on pita bread is very good.
These are so yummy! Healthy, no fat at all and so fast…I hope you enjoy them =)
