Trying to lose weight and eat super healthy!
Know of any foods that are essential to your diet?
and why?
Instead of whole grain breads look for SPROUTED grain breads, look for GRASS FED beef, Stevia instead of sugar (or organic raw honey), and look for organic RAW whole milk. Talk to someone at your local GOOD health food store or search the net to find where you can get these things.
Also, I got this information and LOTS more fantastic info at: http://tinyurl.com/2etonq6. This site had info on good foods, bad foods, mindset, exercises, why different ones of all these things were good or bad, and so much more. It’s really helped me to lose weight, tone up and to feel allot healthier. I hope you check it out and I wish you the best.

I am on the verge of becoming diabetic. i want foods that are healthy but don’t seem that way.
french onion soup, peanut butter on a slice of wheat bread, fresh fruit, salads with yogurt dressings or raw veggies with yogurt dip, frozen mixed fruit with light whipped cream for dessert, homade burritos with beans for the meat, skinless chicken strips from the grill as a snack, always have frozen veggies and fruit ready to go, plan ahead and try to stay away from white starchy foods, like corn and white potatoes, choose sweet potatoes and green veggies.
Sensei shows why we eat more calories when at restaurants we perceive to be healthy. And, vindication for the lowly appendix.

Hi. I stay in a dorm and I was wanting healthy ideas on what I could make using a skillet. My problem is that I don’t have a mini fridge so the foods I can use are limited. All I can think of is oatmeal and low sodium canned soup. Does anyone else have any other ideas?? Thanks.
well, i would definitely recommend getting a fridge, even a tiny one. but, for things you can make with nonperishable things, i would include other canned vegetables, tuna (to make tuna helper), mashed potatoes (instant – some types use water instead of milk), and spaghetti with sauce. there are a lot of dry mixes for rice dishes and couscous that are simple to make. also, some boxed mac + cheese is really good and decently healthy (i like annie’s).
if you like tofu, some brands don’t require refrigeration, and you can use that in asian-style dishes.
hope that helps… just make sure you’re staying healthy (a multivitamin might be a good idea). i lived in the dorms for 2 years, so i feel your pain.
